I started my two week visits with my OB this morning since I’m in the list of high risk pregnancy due to my age and high blood pressure. Found out that since my last lower reading about three weeks ago, my blood pressure went up once again. A few weeks ago when I found out that my bp had two low consecutive readings, I thought I could start breathing a little easier and enjoy my pregnancy just a little bit more. So, I ate and enjoyed full servings of Filipino sweets and food I have not indulged in a long while. I gave in on my cravings for french fries and pancakes outside my kitchen walls. Within in three weeks, boom… bp went up about 25 points from last readings. So, back to my tasting bits of treats I go.
I’m in the beginning of my 3rd trimester. My hubby reminds me often, “Home stretch. Here, drink some more water.” So close it seems and yet so far. I actually welcomed daylights savings as others were quiet bummed. It is an hour closer every day to when we get to see our baby for the first time:)
So…for now I must be good. Remind self, “Low Sodium Diet, rest on my left side after meals when possible for baby to get nutrition, hydrate, and relax.”
